Coca Cola is the Big Seller in 2010
Once again, for 2010, Coca-Cola reigns surpreme in the vending machines. Outselling Diet Coke and Pepsi at about 10 to 1, Coke is number one in all of my vending locations. Even in the cold, rainy weeks of December the two columns I have set aside in each machine for Coke are near empty every week! Monster Energy sales have been picking up lately and even seeing some sales in Sprite. I must admit that all of my soda machines have a Coca Cola lighted fronts, so I wonder how much of that advertising influences the selection once the customer has to make that final decision come break time?

Holiday Schedules and Sales
It was a rather slow week due to the holidays. Most of my vending locations had at least one day off. That plus the colder weather and rain meant for slower sales. I also think that the holiday gift spending slowed sales a little. People are spending more money this time of year and that means less money for snacks and soda.
